History: As unique as finger prints, each silhouette is a customized gift; no two alike. This form of portraiture became popular in the mid-1700s in France through the artist and namesake, Etienne de Silhouette. A artistic craft and precursor to the modern day photograph. It was a way for all classes of society, to capture the likeness of loved ones for posterity.

Victoria Muramoto, artist behind Heirloom Silhouettes Studio, recently developed a passion for the rare, almost extinct and elegant art form when looking to create memorable and cherished holiday gifts for family and friends.
